Removing Pre-set links

  • I have searched on how to solve my problem for about two hours now, and can’t find a post on it. So please forgive me if this is a common question
    I am trying to remove the links on my blog that seem to have no way for me to delete through the menu.
    The links are listed below:
    Other:
    Login
    Register
    Meta:
    RSS 2.0
    Comments RSS 2.0
    Valid XHTML
    WP
    I tried to remove these links in the index.php file. When I reload my Blog page I get an error message.
    Can someone please explain to me how I can remove these links from my Blog?
