    Hi there,

When sharing a post on FB the title of the post gets automatically the name of my site in the beginning, followed by a comma and then the title of the post.

EX: mysite, The title of the post

Where is that name of my site + comma defined please?
In my case, it doesn’t correspond exactly to the full site’s name in WP settings and it’s maybe set somewhere at Yoast, but I also don’t know where that comma comes from, as it’s not correct.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

If you go to SEO-Search Appearances-Content Types and find Posts. CLick on it. It will then expanded down and should show an SEO title field. Is that field set-up correctly? We ask as by default if you DO NOT have a custom Facebook title OR a custom title for the page, we use what is in that field.

If that is set-up correctly, please verify that the SEO title is correctly set-up. Go to the page, scroll down and find the Yoast Metabox. Click on Edit Snippet. Look at the SEO Title field. Is that set-up correctly?

If so, while still on the same page click on the Social Tab then click on the Facebook section and verify that what is in the Facebook title field is correct. See image: https://pasteboard.co/IEe4AyT.jpg

Great, I found it as described in your first para above.
I didn’t know that SEO titles were also used for shared posts on FB.

Many thanks for your prompt reply!
