PHP 7.3 compatibility

But it doesn’t work when I use WP Hide & Security Enhancer.
If i try to virtually rewrite wp-content and wp-includes directory, the new wp-content and wp-includes directory are created but no file is generated.
The previous version of Simply Static works great with “WP Hide & Security Enhancer” but it’s limited to PHP 7.2

I’m not the maintainer of this project hence the fork. I would expect our fork won’t interfere with directory structure changes. Maybe it’s a change in Simply Static it self. You can try to apply the changes we made manually to Simply Static in your project.

If he did not respond, how about taking over the plugin? https://developer.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-org/take-over-an-existing-plugin/
We have used this plugin for many years and clearly would appreciate if there will be someone who continues to maintain this plugin!

I tried to contact the original author, via Twitter and e-mail, but no response. Thanks for pointing me to that take-over page. Didn’t know www.ads-software.com has that option. I will consider to submit a code review.
