    Hi Folks,

I’ve recently started working for a site which has ~1,600 posts, the issue is that under the Post, Advanced, where you specify index and follow setting they have a total mishmash created by random authors.

A bunch of posts are set to the default Yes, Yes
    A bunch are noindex, follow.
    A bunch are noindex, nofollow.

And so on, with no rhyme or reason.

I need to update all of them to noindex, follow. Obviously checking/doing this one-by-one for 1,600+ posts is a huuuge time sink.

How can I do a bulk settings change for these posts?

    Many thanks in advance.
    Andrew.

Or just bulk reset/remove the settings would be just as good.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Yoast does not have a way to efficently bulk change the robots meta tags. However, we thank you for suggesting a new feature for one of our plugins. We’re not working on it at the moment but we’ll create a feature request for this, so our developers can consider this when planning updates.

You can follow it here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/12138

The only workaround would be to use the robots filters here https://gist.github.com/amboutwe/0c71e42aa164238007d7ea88f174a93f/ to craft a code that can bulk apply a specific robots output to all your post types.

Unfortunately, there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. And even though we cannot be of any assistance, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.

If needed, we highly recommend checking out the Yoast supported partners here:?https://yoast.com/yoast-partners/.?
