404’s for Posts after upgrade to 2.8.

    This may be one of those simple problems with an obvious answer but I’m a bit of a NOOB when it comes to WordPress and programming generally so I’m lost. It may also be my fault rather than WP…

    I upgraded to 2.8 from 2.7.1. Ended up deleting everything and basically starting over. I did not back up the database while doing this.

    Installed 2.8. Reconfig’d the config.php file using my DB info and new secret keys.

    Now my home page is live. My widgets all operational. All my posts appear on my home page, permalink naming is correct. Posts also appear in be in my database.

    However, when I click on any sub page or post I get a 404.

    To my laymen’s eyes it seems like there’s a disconnect between my DB and WP, but why is the home page, links, widgets, etc working but the content isn’t.
