I need help on our website. This happens right after I update it.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘$value’ (T_VARIABLE) in /home2/sulrah/public_html/uppn.com/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/vendor/aws/aws-sdk-php/src/functions.php on line 36

    How to fixed this please?

That looks like the update broke itself. Via FTP or your hosting control panel’s file manager, delete the directory wp-content/plugins/backwpup, then reinstall the plugin.

    Updated what? all the plugins

How? updated by clicking the update button in wordpress dashboard

Delete what? This is from your first post “delete the directory wp-content/plugins/backwpup, then reinstall the plugin.?

What happens? right after I update all the plug ins, then the “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘$value’ (T_VARIABLE) in /home2/sulrah/public_html/uppn.com/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/vendor/aws/aws-sdk-php/src/functions.php on line 36” occurs.

Did you delete backwpup first? That’s the key.

    Hi Steve,

Should I delete it in a file manager in cpanel? Since I cannot log in to the WordPress admin to our site.

If so, please tell me the process.

As I said, delete the directory wp-content/plugins/backwpup from the file manager app of your hosting control panel. If you need help with that, please contact your host.
