Hi. I had an issue with ‘insufficient permission’ that was preventing upgrade from the admin panel. I tried the “force-upgrade.php” program to no avail. Then I went ahead and did a complete manual upgrade to 2.8 from 2.7. Somewhere in the process everything fell apart and if you’ll look at the blog https://www.strawberryrd.com/blog you’ll see what I mean. The other strange bit is that when I look at themes in the admin panel, default is not available and none of the themes have a corresponding screenshot. Also, if I try to preview a theme, the same non-formated/non-themed page appears. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

  • you are still being blocked somehow
this is what I get when trying to view your style sheet

    <p>You don't have permission to access /blog/wp-content/themes/default/style.css
    on this server.</p>

ask your host to reset the owner for the directories to the original one – I’m assuming the owner has been changed
this happens on some servers when you upload stuff through the wordpress interface

Thanks samboll! I went in and checked the folder and file permissons and set them to 755 and 644 accordingly and all is good! I hope those permissions aren’t bad, but that seemed to do the trick!

    Thanks!
