Obfuscate doesn’t do anything

Hi, appreciate the plugin, thanks.

I am trying to use the obfuscate option with CF7_get_custom_field shortcode

Like so:
[dynamichidden dynamichidden-x "CF7_get_custom_field key='email' obfuscate='on'"]

But it just simply doesn’t do anything. The HTML value still says [email protected] if I enter [email protected] so if I need to use this for adding a dynamic recipient “To” email in the CF7 form and I add a sensitive email address everyone can see it.

What is the expected behaviour here? I spent the last 2 hours trying to find an explanation or a documentation with examples but no luck.

So I checked out the code tried copying the code to a simple php page and output an “obfuscated” script, but the result was that the string came out unchanged both in the html and displayed.

I am confused.
