WooCommerce Declining CCards

Hello,
We’re back. The issue we have is that Square used to work (October 31st) and no longer processes any credit cards. While it appears we can enter the information for the credit card, when we submit payment for a text order it fails.
The error in WooCommerce shows that the card(s) are declined. We’ve used the cards previously with Square (in OCT), and they are ALL Valid cards.

Can you please share the error logs with us so we can take a look at the exact errors that are showing when trying to process payments.

Thanks for sending your system status over, what @amandasjackson was asking for is the error logs from Square itself.
You may need to enable logging under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments and select Manage next to Square. Then at the bottom of those settings you’ll see a checkbox to enable Logging.

Link to image: https://cld.wthms.co/t7saqjThen if any errors are logged you’ll find those under WooCommerce > Status > Logs tab. There will be a Square log for every day that logging is enabled. Pick the appropriate day to find that days logs and see if any of these orders appear in the logs to explain what’s going on with them.

Thanks for that log, to confirm the declined orders are all using the same card? If so have you also contacted the card issuer, even if they all aren’t the same maybe they are from the same issuer?
I’d be curious to know what the card issuer(s) may say or see on their end. Usually the declined error means the card issues is indeed declining the card from being used on your site. I think it would be helpful as well to reach out to Square to see if they have any information that would be helpful knowing why the cards are declined.
Also, if this was an issue in October did it become fixed at some point?

Sorry for the CAPS, but we’ve said this a number of times in earlier portions of these threads.
It isn’t the cards. Clearly, and we’ve proven that.
Unfortunately it has not been resolved. Someone closed our previous thread without any resolution.
We’ve turned on PayPal as an option because we cannon get the Square plugin working. and yes It’s been a MONTH.
We just tried another card, which was used to buy gas recently, and it too was declined.
It still seems that there’s an issue processing the cards through the portal, not with the actual cards themselves.
“Square Payment Failed (Status code CARD_DECLINED: Card declined.) Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.”
This is the typical error we see when the transaction won’t go through.

I take it you also tested with a default theme + WooCommerce and WooCommerce Square. Did that change anything?

This was happening to our site as well randomly, however i found that disconnecting square from the woocommerce site and reconnecting it made it work.

Thank you for providing the System Status Report, the error log and your previous findings.
Unfortunately, this particular error log from November 19th doesn’t include any additional information which could be useful when determining what exactly is happening, and I don’t see any similar reports with the exact same symptoms.
As suggested above, it might be a good idea to disconnect your site from Square (in wp-admin >> WooCommerce >> Settings >> Square) and re-connect.
Have you tried reaching out to Square support team yet? They might be able to see the exact decline reasons.
