    Hi,

Yes, WP-Optimize does automatically compress the images.

You can set the optimization level through the settings if you wish to optimize your images further.

the reason why i mentioned webpagetest

is because i set it to Prioritize maximum compression on resmushit, and still webpagetest mentioned that i had more to compress
    is there algorithm broken?

    Hi @saveatrain
To verify if an image is compressed, you can find it in the media library, and check the details in the right column. It should either show the compression form (means the image was not compressed), or the compression informations:

Regarding the level compression, different services might have different levels of compression. The “Prioritize maximum compression” option does not compress to the maximum level possible by reSmushit, but uses a level we defined as compressing enough while keeping enough quality, as setting the lowest level could be detrimental to the images quality.

i actually went to the plugin – media and i saw that there aren’t any images to be compressed, so i guess its working.
    have a great weekend !
