Hi everyone hope you doing well,

I have an issue with the Automated Scheduled feature, backup and File Change Detection Scan is activated but not working
i think since the new update from all in one security update ?
before it was working fine. of curse i also had an changement with cache plugin so
another possibility is maybe some other plugins are blocking it ? (of curse i will try this too,but first i wanted to ask you here maybe you guys had the same problem at this time im using Autoptimize and WP-Optimize before the update of all in one security plugin i was using W3 Total Cache)

Good luck with your projects mates <3
    Best wishes and greets

    Hi,

I have an issue with the Automated Scheduled feature, backup and File Change Detection Scan is activated but not working

Just to clarify your issue above. You are saying that you have two different issues. One issue is related to the Enable Automated Scheduled Backups: and the other issue is related to Enable Automated File Change Detection Scan:. Is this correct?

    Thank you

    Hi mbrsolution,

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer me.

Yes this is correct i have 2 issues, don′t know how to explain this probably.
It seems not to work because i don`t get any email anymore with database back up or that it is informing me what file change i had on my website it was working fine until then.
also checked several times my spam folder.
if i do it manually it works and i get an email just the automatic job does not work for me.

    Hi,

In regards to schedule backups. Please read the following scenario.

If I’ve just configured my scheduled backup settings to do a once daily backup and saved the config now and it is currently 7:11pm at my location, then the wp-cron will be scheduled to perform a backup at around 7:11pm everyday. Which means that the next backup will be scheduled for tomorrow at approximately 7:11pm – BUT – if nobody visits my site till 10:30pm tomorrow, then no backup will occur at 7:11pm because there was no activity on the site just after 7:11pm to trigger the wp-cron event. What will happen is that the system will immediately trigger a backup as soon as someone visits my site anytime after the scheduled time. (In other words in this example the backup will occur at 10:30pm)

Does the above make sense to you?

    Regards

    Hi again,

I see, this makes sense and it is very clever, good to know.

I know now why ?? it is just my stupidity xD im working on my website and i have since 7 days maintenance mode on this is the reason why it stops the job… im so sorry didnt know that.(but makes sense, also your last reply got me on the idea)

So for any other who is wondering with the same scenario,if your website is on maintenance these jobs are deactivate aslong your in maintenance mode.

So this Support Thread can be closed.
Again thank you very much for this great support.
