• Absolutely outrageous to have intentionally spammed millions of dashboards. I can’t believe that a professional and well regarded, respected company such as Yoast took the opportunity to betray the trust of millions of WordPress admins and owners. No apology even that I’m aware of yet.

There is no coming back from this, you should have known better because once the trust has gone, it’s gone. You should compensate every user of your plugin and make a very large donation to charity, certainly at minimum the profit from Black Friday.

  • Hi @graham-smith,

    Thanks for your comment.

We understand that the Black Friday banner was annoying. Although it was dismissable, it was a bit buggy so last Thursday we released Yoast SEO v12.6.2 which completely removes the banner from the admin panel. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. You can also find our public apologies on social media through this link.

We appreciate your taking the time to send your feedback.

Thank you. I’ve read the comments from your CEO and I can she took ownership, no question and is genuinely apologetic.
