Add all posts to new category?

  • Is there a way or a plugin that allows me to create a new category and add all of my blog’s posts into the new category?

    One of my sites has 380 some odd posts from the last couple years or so…and I was hoping there was an easy way to add all of those posts into one category all at once.

  • If you delete a catagory that has posts in it by wordpress default the posts go into the uncategorized catagory. If you did this with all categories and then edit uncategorized you can change it’s name and it becomes the anchor category. I would backup my database first, and try it with a couple first so that you’re comfortable with it.

    There may be other ways to do this as well.
