External Product link tracking

  • Hi there

    I’m building a hub with loads of products that will all link to external stores, so I am looking to track clicks all the way to where a sale is made on the affiliate site. Excuse my wording if it’s incorrect, technically I might be called the affiliate.

    I’ve been reading up on many plugins but I’m getting confused about what is really needed to achieve this. Is Google Analytics essential? And which plugin do I combine with it to satisfy all my needs?

    Any help you might be able to give me will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    Google Analytics can show you clicks on your own websites, but in your case, unless the vendors will put your Google Analytics e-commerce code, you will not be able to tell who went to buy the product.

    Usually, the vendors handle the program.
    I’m not too familiar with affiliate marketing so sorry if this is not of much help.
