• I didn’t see anything about needing to register when I installed the Sodahead plug-in and created a poll. After the poll had run for a while, it suddenly wouldn’t allow me to access the results anymore without registration. The requirement may be somewhere on the plug-in but I don’t like sneaky tactics like this. I’ll be replacing this plug-in with one that’s more transparent.

Also, I didn’t like their color scheme and hadn’t yet found a way to make it match my screen. All the ads and miscellaneous graphics on their poll page was also distracting.

This poll is good for personal stuff but where you don’t care about privacy but not for serious use.

  • Thanks for the note and opportunity to clarify…

SodaHead doesn’t require registration for the voters unless the poll author chooses that option. It defaults to “allow anonymous” option. You can require registration as another layer of security to prevent vote fraud.

The poll does not have any ads or miscellaneous graphics — perhaps you meant on the site where you can author, edit, update and manage the polls?
