Bulk Editing Of Posts for Content Restriction?

Bulk assigning user roles cannot be done using Profile Builder, so you would have to find another plugin to help you do so.

What you could do is use the role=”” argument for the registration form shortcode to make sure that all new users are granted the correct user role. Here is an example:

[wppb-register role=”editor”]

All users that register using that form will be granted the Editor user role.

Thank you for your fast reply. Actually I was not wanting to bulk assign roles to users… what I want to do is bulk edit page permissions for Content Restriction. Your plugin allows pages and posts to be protected based on WordPress user roles.

We have a site that we want to protect about 1,000 posts using the “Content Restriction” feature of the Profile Builder plugin.

The only way to select the roles that can see a specific page or post is to go into the page or post and select the Content Restriction role there.

With over 1,000 posts, this is rather time-consuming. I was wondering if there is a bulk way to edit this Content Restriction setting for 1,000+ posts quickly and easily vs. going into each post and selecting the role for Content Restriction and then saving each post.

Unfortunately restricting pages in bulk as you describe is not possible. We have had a few other requests to add this functionality to the plugin, and I will also add this thread to that list, but I cannot give you an ETA for when this might happen.

Ok, thanks. We just did in through the database. It would be nice to add this function in the future. Feature Request! ??
