Blog Page Shows Pages in Post Format Instead of My Blog Posts

  • I haven’t used a blog for my website in a long time but would like to get back into it. In the reading settings, I set the posts page to a new blank page. On that page, it is now showing all the pages on my site listed in post format. I need it to display my posts – not pages. I have 10 posts published but they don’t show up on the posts page.

  • Try viewing that page in the Customizer with a different theme to see if it works differently.

    @joyously Thanks for the idea. I duplicated this staging site from our live site and then changed the theme of the staging site and the problem is on both. The live site theme is very old and obsolete which is why I’m changing it. I’m using Ocean WP for the new theme.

    So perhaps those Pages aren’t actually Pages? Are they Posts? Is there a plugin that is affecting the query or post type? You can use the Health Check plugin to easily disable plugins for your user only to test.
