Change location of tool folder?

    Took over management of a site that is using your plugin. The host we use is read only except for wp-content/uploads. Your plugin is complaining about not being able to create a tools folder at wp-content/ewww/. I’ve read over your docs and tried searching but am unable to find anything related to changing the location of this ewww tool folder. Is there a constant or filter hook to change this folder’s location? If not, is this folder required for the plugin to function correctly?

    Also, just FYI: tried to contact you via the https://ewww.io/contact-us/ page per your “Read first” post mentions but there’s no form displayed on that page for contacting you. There’s one for subscribing, and one for missing API key, but that’s it. Tried in latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari; all displayed the same, no contact form.

    You didn’t see the link that says “To get in touch, first check our documentation…” that opens the support modal? Or did that link not work?

    At any rate, there is no way to override the location of the tools folder for the free version. Using the API avoids any need for the tools folder. Without the “tools” or an API key, the plugin won’t do much of anything.

    I did, but since I had already read through and searched https://docs.ewww.io/ before coming here, I assumed the link you mentioned simply took me back to the docs, hence why I didn’t click on it.

    At any rate, there is no way to override the location of the tools folder for the free version. Using the API avoids any need for the tools folder. Without the “tools” or an API key, the plugin won’t do much of anything.

    Once the plugin has that directory and the binaries inside of it, does the plugin need to do any further writing into the directory? Or is it read-only after that point?

    It needs read/execute permission for the web user, but write permissions are not necessary once the tools are installed.
