Hey there. In the last week, I’ve noticed one problem with my website. When I publish a new post, one or two of the images do not work immediately. They’re broken links. When I wait 4-5 minutes, everything fixes itself.

I am starting believe that this might have something to do with the Jetpack Site Accelerator. I contacted my hosting company and they said everything was fine but they suggested that it might be my WP Theme. I changed that without any changes.

    Here is my WP setup:

    301 Redirects Version 2.40
    Akismet Anti-Spam Version 4.1.3
    Blogger 301 Redirect Version 2.5.3
    Classic Editor Verson 1.5
    Contact Form Maker Version 1.13.21
    Custom Permalinks Version 1.5.1
    Jetpack Version 8.0
    Quick AdSense Version 1.9.2
    Simple Author Box Version 2.3.5
    Simple IB Ban Version 1.3.0
    Super Socializer Version 7.12.37
    WP Super Cache Version 1.7.0
XML Site Map & Google News Version 5.2.7
    WordPress Version 5.3
    Theme – Arcade Basic

The image in question was: https://i0.wp.com/reelmockery.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/rose-cheat-finale-recap.png but it has done it multiple times with other pictures too.

Again, the problem fixes itself after a few minutes. Very strange. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Everything seems to work fine until I publish a new post. Then, 1 or 2 pictures are broken for 4-5 minutes and everything fixes itself.

Do the images work properly if you switch off just “Speed up image load times” or “Enable Lazy Loading for images” at Jetpack > Settings > Performance in your site’s Dashboard?

Just tested it. Switched off those settings and published a post with limited text and 5 pictures. They loaded immediately without any issues. Might mean everything or might mean nothing. lol

Okay, so I turned those setting back on and updated the post with a few additional pictures. All of them worked except 1. So, I am thinking the problem has to be associated with those settings.

One or the other. https://ibb.co/RzJvX0R The hammond picture did not load. It is working now but only after giving it a few minutes.

How about with just “Enable Lazy Loading for images” switched off at Jetpack > Settings > Performance in your site’s Dashboard?

Just tried it. They all work just fine with that setting turned off. So what should I do? Just leave it off?

Yes, our Lazy Load system is not yet compatible with all theme, so if it works better with it off, I recommend leaving it off for now.

Weird that it just started doing that out of the blue though. Anyway, that will work for me. I’ll experiment with it for a few days and see if that fixes everything. If not, I’ll be back.

    Thanks again for your help!

2 images out of 9 are not working now. Should I turn off the other setting?

Argh, and that’s definitely with Lazy Load off?

Ok, would you please contact us via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support so we can take a close look?

Yep. Lazy Load is indeed off. Will contact you right now. Thanks!
