Duplicate wordpress files with random numbers attached

    My site was hacked and is hopefully now cleaned up but i just got a notification of new files in the worpress directory – pretty much every wordpress file. Some examples are:

    Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-admin/about.php.1315220476

    * Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.1315220476

    * Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-admin/admin-footer.php.1315220476

    * Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-admin/admin-functions.php.1315220476

    * Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-admin/admin-header.php.1315220476

    – I Deleted all these, and I also updated wordpress yesterday. is there a chance this is just from updating wordpress or is this a compromised site? I can’t find anywhere on the internet with a similar issue. These weird duplicate files were also present when i cleaned up the site but were removed when i did a fresh install.

    These were likely created by a migration service, leftovers from the site was cleaned. You might ask your host for their thoughts.
