Other fields, address etc, are working fine. Just the card payment section.
This issue occurs on Chrome Version 78.0.3904.108 on Windows 10. Also Android running Chrome. It works fine in Opera. TIA for your support in the busy pre-Christmas shopping season!

    Hey @ciarando,

Cross testing for us today on your site when using Google Chrome, FireFox browsers in MacOS and Windows 10 I was able to enter details into the card payment section.

Do you maybe have an extension activated in your Chrome browser which is affecting the card input fields?

Hi Stuart, many thanks for the quick response!

Definitely no extensions in Chrome on Android. There are some errors on the page captured when I inspected the page processes. Most notable that the payment gateway SDK is missing.

When I refresh the page, I can enter details. If I clear cookies and cache, I’m once again unable to enter the information.

Would you mind trying again at your end after clearing cookies / cache?

PS I have tried this in Chrome with zero active extensions on Win 10. It’s intermittent, but does still occur.

    Hi @ciarando,

I’ve just tested on my end as well in Chrome on my desktop and I’m able to provide card details without any issues as you can see from this screenshot:

Here’s what it looks like on my Android phone:

I’m not able to replicate the behaviour you’re describing on either device.

Hi @luminus and thanks for your response. I can reliably reproduce if I clear browser cookies and cache for all time and start a new order. Is there somewhere secure I can upload a screenshot to show you what I see with the error? It also happens on IE but as yet I’m unable to reproduce using Opera. Many thanks!

Jumping in here just to help out – @ciarando I had similar behavior using the Square payment gateway. I was able to experience the issue on your site – simply couldn’t type into the credit card form. In my case, it was caused by the Autoptimize plugin performing code minification on the cart page. If you have a plugin doing .js or .css minification disable it, clear your caches, and then check again. If that resolves it, then you may have to look into your plugin settings to exclude the checkout page from optimization.

@cgscomputers Thank you! OMG it’s the WordPress equivalent of “have you turned it off and turned it on again?”! Should have been top of my action list. *facepalm*

Still not working in IE but it’s a low usage / zero revenue browser according to our analytics so less urgency there. Thanks again for jumping in. You definitely helped out. ??

Glad to see it’s working. I know that Autoptimize (if that’s what you’re using) actually has a setting to exclude checkout pages from optimization – which is not set by default. So if you don’t uncheck the box, it will minify everything on the cart which does break some things periodically. I have it disabled totally for my cart page (no reason to cache any of that really).

    Hey @ciarando,

It’s great to see you have this working now and @cgscomputers thanks for bringing up the possibility of optimization plugins sometimes being the cause of weird behaviour like this. ??

I’m going to mark this topic as resolved for the time being – @ciarando if you have any further questions, you can reopen it again if you need be.

I’m using another optimisation plugin but that’s really good to know re Autompimize. Much appreciated. ??

    Thanks all!
