Export a limited number of posts for demo

    Hi,

    I have a huge WordPress blog with thousands of posts and I would like to change the theme. In order to develop the new theme in a dev environment, I’d like to use about 10 posts only, I don’t need everything. Is there a way to export a limited number of each content type? Is there a plugin that can do this, or I need to dabble with the db and the uploads folder?

    Hi there!

    What’s pretty neat is that if you go to Tools > Export you can choose just posts and set a date range as well of what to export.

    Then on your dev environment you’d just import it using the Tools > Import method as well.
