Reauthenticate Google
-
Hi my dashboard has a message that says “You need to reauthenticate your Google account.”
I click it and always says this: redirect_uri’ mismatch.
I also click on “complete activation” for the programs connect to site kit such as analytics but it says the same thing: redirect_uri’ mismatch.

@faithmoveswithali Thanks for reporting, hopefully we can assist. Can you follow the steps below before attempting setup again?
– Reset Site Kit (Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Reset Site Kit)
– Check your “Site Address (URL)” and “WordPress Address (URL)” and ensure both values match?
– Temporarily disable any redirection or optimisation plugin during setup
– Setup Site Kit from a browser incognito windowIf the above fails to resolve your issue can you share your URL or Site Health Information and we can assist further?
It still doing the same thing.

@faithmoveswithali thanks so much for the details. A few more questions:
1) Could you confirm the property/ default URL listed at your Search Console, Analytics, and other service accounts matches your site URL exactly?
2) Was your site verified through Search Console before Site Kit? If so, which method did you use?
Thanks so much!
Hello @reneesoffice
Yes my site starts with https
I verified through search console I believe because I didn’t know about that until I downloaded the sitekit pluginSame problem. Locked in an infinite loop of WordPress dashboard of
1. “You need to reauthenticate your Google account. Click here.”
2. Sign in with Google > Choose an account to continue to Site Kit
3. Grant Site Kit permission > Edit Google Analytics management entities
4. You are allowing Site Kit to: > Edit Google Analytics management entities, Manage Google Analytics Account users by email address, View your Google Analytics data, View and manage your Google Analytics data, You already gave Site Kit access to: Associate you with your personal info on Google > See your personal info, including any personal info you’ve made publicly available, etc, Manage the list of sites and domains you control
5. Back to homepage, where WordPress row with Site Kit says “Analytics Activation > Complete Activation”Tried using different browsers (Explorer, Chrome, Safari) and computers (Mac, Win). Enabling all cookies for the (WordPress) site and accounts.google.com. Verified site property by URL listed at the Search Console. Reinstalled at least once.
I saw this at top of dashboard:
Unable to receive access token because of an invalid OAuth request. Can I please get some help? What should I do next?
@faithmoveswithali thanks for the updates. we will continue troubleshooting with you in this topic (no need to update this topic any longer).
Is https://www.faithmoveswithali.online the full site URL?
1) From the WordPress admin dashboard, could you navigate to Settings > General let me know if the website is listed with the full site URL. In this area, for example.
2) In your Search Console account, could you let me know if the website is listed with the full site URL. In this area, for example.
3) In your Google Analytics account, could you check if the the default URL is listed with the full site URL. In this area, for example.
Please let me know what you find. Thanks so much!
@orangemonkey777 it would be best if you open a new support topic (per forum guidelines) since we are seeing this issue occur in particular setup scenarios. We’d better assist with your particular case there.
1. Yes that is the full url
2. yes
3. yesall of them
https://www.faithmoveswithali.online@faithmoveswithali Can you try the following:
– Remove the property from within your Search Console account
– Reset Site Kit (Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Reset Site Kit)
– Setup Site Kit again from a browser incognito windowIf that fails are you in a position to temporarily deactivate all other active plugins and switching themes before attempting setup again? You can activate again once you have setup Site Kit.
@faithmoveswithali we’ve made some updates to address this issue. Could you attempt the setup again and let us know if it is resolved?
I did that already @jamesosborne, saw the advice somewhere else. I switched to a wordpress theme and that didnt work.
I will try it again thanks @reneesoffice
Thanks for the help @reneesoffice & @jamesosborne
It works.
Blessings@faithmoveswithali that’s great to hear! Please consider leaving a review about your experience with Site Kit.
