Posts/Pages stopped working??

  • My wordpress site was hacked and so I did a complete fresh install… created a new database and everything. (didn’t add anything from hacked backup). I was putting everything back together and all of a sudden every page is 404ing and the posts don’t show up… ?! I have got used to wordpress and want to use it, but I can’t deal with all these problems cause the website is for someone else. Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

    I had my permalinks set up as numeric. I edited a template file that is used for one particular page (not index) then went to view my changes and nothing worked, not even posts.

    Also… instead of just not showing up the_content, the page title says Page not found

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
