• Hi there!
Please question, when i make a new ticker, i have another page with only the ticker and google even finds it. Do i have the option not to publish a new post with my new ticker?
    Thank you!

I have just released an update that adds a setting to setup ticker posts as private posts (News Tickers > Settings. Private Ticker Posts). You can toggle this on which will set all (old & new) ticker posts to private. Keep in mind that if previous posts have been indexed by google you’ll want to create a url re-writes for exists posts.

Another option is to use Yoast SEO and either individually set posts to not index, or disable the news ticker post type from being included in the sitemap altogether.

Here are some reference links for the last 2 options:

thank you for your answer and solutions. Why do you think i need to creat a url rewrites for existing post (what is rewrite) i guess google will receive 404 and cancel the url.. no?
About the change in the settings, i cant see it now, will it be available in the next update?

You are correct that google will receive an error page, and at some point remove them. But, I’m pretty sure 404 pages hurt your google ranking if you’re concerned about that.

The new setting is contained in the latest version 2.2.10

thank you i found it but i see that it make redirect to the hompage directly.. so its fine.. about the 404 i dont think that one 404 or even a few can hurt seo, its better for google and user know that a page doesnt exist.. but who knows .. ??
