Hi,

I am using Elementor for a couple of website projects and sometimes I have to install and test a couple of additional plugins when I am searching for a specific Elementor widget I want to use. When I have found the right widget I usually want to deactivate or delete all the other widget packs I have tried, but at that point I have a really hard time finding out, which of these additional plugins the widget I want to keep belongs to.

For example I was testing out widgets for a Post Grid. Unfortunately most of the installed widgets are called “Post Grid” and also use the same icon. When I click on the widget I have on my page to open the “edit” menu on the left, it just says “Edit Post Grid”.

It would be fantastic if anywhere in this “edit” menu it would tell me which Plugin or Widget Set it belongs to.

Unless there’s already an easy way to find out which I don’t know about. In that case I’d appreciate a quick hint ??

Hi Jenny,

In Elementor each set of widgets have their own categories, which gives you a hint where they belong.

For example:

Hi David,
yes, at that point I am still able to see which package a widget belongs to. However when I search for a keyword there are no categories anymore:

And when a widget is placed on the page and I want to edit it I can’t tell which widget it is, since most widgets have the same or very similar names and there is no other indication:

Currently, Elementor does not have the feature of showing the source of widgets (also 3rd party widgets).

If you like, you can submit a Feature Request on Github, which is where we take feature requests.
You can submit them at https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues/new/choose
which gives you the opportunity to follow the discussion about ideas you submit, and track development progress of any that get implemented.

Regarding your last question, I see you are using third party widgets which are not related directly to Elementor.

If you are using our Posts widget, Since this is a Pro feature, you’ll need to open a support ticket at my.elementor.com.
