    Hi,

I am using the Gutenberg Block do insert a simple fading Slideshow. The code generated looks like this [gallery ids='87,88,89' columns='1' main_size='full' speed='2000' timeout='4000' fx='fade' strip-style='button' controls='hide' style='no-strip'] and the problem is that the slideshow is not fading instead it just keeps sliding.

The settings in can be seen here https://imgur.com/8VUuoUm.

    What am I missing?

    Best regards.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Sorry for the delay in responding – I haven’t been actively monitoring the support queue during the Christmas / New Year holiday break.

From what I can see, the “fade” effect needs some additional conditions to be in place:

    1. The layout has to show a strip of thumbnails below the slideshow
    2. The number of columns in the slideshow should be “Automatic” or blank

While these additional conditions don’t necessarily make sense, unfortunately the “LightSlider” script that I use for the slideshow requires them, and it hasn’t seen an update for the last 3 years. Maybe I will consider switching to a different script in the future, but I have stuck with LightSlider just because it is fairly lightweight.

    Hi, no problem.

I did what you said and it works ok for now.

    Thanks and happy new year.
