Link to External Booking

  • We are an international organization with chapters in different countries. Each chapter handles their own bookings on their own website.

    As parent organization, we want to list their events but have a conditionally appearing button that appears to “Register Online” with an external link to the local chapter website registration page. If we define a custom varible with the actual link, we’d like the button to appear. . .

    Some might call this off-site registration, or external registration, external booking, so I’m tyring to find the right name.

    I’m not a coder, so i’ve spent several hours trying to figure out how to use the #_ATT placeholder, without much success yet.

    you can try something like <a href="#_ATT{website_url}"> BOOK NOW </a> in your formatting settings at events > settings > formatting > events

    so every unique event that needs an unique external link will have to have #_ATT set in a place other than the event itself,

    And then a coder has to put that #_att where?

    I’ve been playing with it, trying to follow instructions, but this seems un-intuitive and difficult. I might be able to learn it, but trying to teach a data entry person how to do these multiple steps successfully every time seems like i’ll need a lot of luck.

    I do like many of the plugin features, just trying to get this one to work on a simple step process.
