    If you go to https://twitter.com/talkoftravel
and look at the traveladvice twets they were sent via publize
Do you see how the information an title appear in two places above and below
Is there a function /switch etc in publizie /jetpack where i can get it to just show once in the tweet?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Publicize sends two things to Twitter: A message, which by default is your post title, and a link to the post. That message is what you see first on the tweet, for example, at https://twitter.com/talkoftravel/status/1212674741846364160

Then Twitter takes the link and generates a preview from it. That preview includes the post title as well, along with a short excerpt, and often an image if the post contains a suitable image.

There is nothing we can do to prevent Twitter from displaying the post title in the preview they generate on their end. That is completely in their control.

But you can set a custom Publicize message before you publish your post, so that will be shown as the tweet content instead of the title that’s used by default. To set a custom Publicize message, click on the Jetpack icon top-right in the editor. That will open the sharing settings where you can see what services Publicize is posting to, and set your own message if you want to.

Thanks for the comprehensive reply. You had me upto:-
“click on the Jetpack icon top-right in the editor. That will open the sharing settings where you can see what services Publicize is posting to, and set your own message if you want to.”
I add the posts from the frontend of the site. and No icon shows there. When i went to the back and the post I can see the jetpacjk icon and open it put it doesnt seem to go anywhere for me to enter a title anyway.
I might look for a plugin that sets a default title to each post.
    Thanks again for assit

@gnfb quick question on this, when you use the front end post form, are you clicking Blog Post or Status Update?

If you choose Blog Post and enter a title, then enter some text below that, that next line of text should show up as your description. Want to try that?
