• after installation /login and /admin worked for logins. An issue happened with our DNS and messed a few things up. Got it all fixed just had to refresh my cache plugin. But I noticed /login and /admin goto 404 error.

Where are these set? Where is /login and /admin default redirects set? How can I re apply them?

  • Usually, I just visit the link provided by the OP and return the proper login if it is there to be found.

You didn’t provide a URL so I can’t offer that but maybe you can try adding /wp-login.php instead.

/login or /admin works if the site is running on Linux and Apache with a good htaccess file so I always try those two first. I prefer /admin if available as that kind of tells me I have a working htaccess but I don’t work on anything but Apache on Linux boxen outside of this support forum.

    Hi @djav1985

The issue of redirection can be because of the redirection mechanism not working at server level.

In order to address the issue, it is suggested to check if the mod_rewrite module if available (if your webserver is Apache2). Similarly, if your web server is NGiNx, then check appropriate routing rules are included in the .conf file.

Kindly review either of the configurations and see if the issue is fixed.

    Thanks,
    Aashish
