Hello. I have the ‘Related Posts’ feature enabled on my site (screenshot). This feature used to work without issue, i.e. the related posts would display at the bottom of each blog post. But I’ve now migrated to a different web host, and the related posts no longer display (screenshot). How can I troubleshoot/resolve this?

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

It appears that your hosting migration may have caused the content we have cached for your site on our servers, to have gone out of sync with what’s actually on your site.

I’ve scheduled a full sync for your site to update the cached data on our end. Please give it at least 24 hours to complete. If the related posts are still not appearing by tomorrow, let us know.

OK it’s been 24 hours. I checked my site again, and the issue has been resolved–the related posts are now showing again. Thanks for that.

Now, can I ask why exactly that occurred, and how I can prevent it from occurring in the future?

    Thanks.

Most likely items just fell out of sync after the migration. It would have corrected automatically over a few days, but the manual re-sync hurries things along. ??

    OK got it.

    1. With future site migrations, is there any way to prevent my site from falling out of sync with the Jetpack server?

    2. With future site migrations, is there any way I can carry out the same re-sync on my own, without contacting support?

    Thanks.

    1. Yes, it should automatically correct, but you can always ask us to run a manual re-sync just to be sure.

    2. No, you’d have to contact us for that.

    >> 1. Yes, it should automatically correct,

OK. In the future, how long after migration should I expect the automatic correction to occur?

    >> 2. No, you’d have to contact us for that.

    OK got it.

how long after migration should I expect the automatic correction to occur?

Usually no more than 48 hours.

OK thanks for that. We can consider this resolved.
