    Does the issue occur when you deactivate Autoptimzie and WP Super cache? Let’s see if this is a plugin/theme conflict issue.

    I believe the issue was not related to any wordpress plugin or file, it was happening probably because of a mailgun tracking. I disabled it, and the link created went back to normal as it was before.
