Create a Shortcode that does the same as the Widget

It would be handy to create a shortcode that does the same as the widget for then being able to place the login button in other locations without custom theme code please.

I would say it would be more than “nice” — it would make it useable in the way most people would want to use it. Then if they refine their install process to where the average site owner might actually understand it, they might even get some traction. Until then though, a great idea, but not quite ready for showtime.
