WordPress drives root, WP in subfolder

Is there a way to have WP installed in a subfolder (“blog”) but have the pages function create pages on the main directory?

Several months ago I temporarily set up my website with WP in a subfolder and used HTML pages on the main site. I am now redoing my website in WP completely with custom static pages, but I don’t want to move WP to the root directory if there’s an easier method (the one I’m asking about).

I apologized if this has been answered already. I did a search and couldn’t find a specific answer.
