I just installed WP 2.8.4 at:

I’m using the Atahualpa 3.4.3 by BytesForAll

I’ve reviewed / followed all the details for removing the standard pre-installed blogroll from many previous help request posts. I continue to see duplicate blogroll widgets using Atahualpa 3.4.3.

    Clicks to https://lyleschlundt.com/library/
on the right column, you’ll see:

It’s the last part I wish to remove – the “Blogroll” widget.

Thus far, I’ve completed the following steps:

    1) Dashboard / Appearance / Widgets/ – removed ALL right side bar widgets, cleared all cookies, ‘dragged” the “links” widget into the right side bar section. Cleared all cookies. Both the “Links” and the “Brogroll” continue to show.

    2) Dashboard / Appearance / Atahualpa Theme Options / – reviewed all settings pertaining to widgets and side bar controls. Didn’t see (or missed ?? anything that related to this issue.

    3) Dashboard / Links / Edit (view all categories)
    – I removed ALL standard links. The only link that appears in my Link Manager page is “Home” – the same link appearing under the “Links” widget in the right-hand column.

    4) Dashboard / Links / Edit / Link Categories
I created ONE category called Links. There is ONE link attached to this category.

So, after all these steps, I’m clueless. It seems that standard “drag a new widget into the right side bar box” on the Appearance / Widgets Dashboard page isn’t working . . .

    Other ideas?

    Thanks!

I decided to simply remove the right-hand sidebar all together. If someone has the solution to the above issue – I’m all ears! ??
