    Hi,
    I am working on a new website (it’s not live yet) and I am displaying some links sorted by category on one page using this shortcode:

    [link-library categorylistoverride=”16,64,65,45,34,66,67,68″]

    the category IDs and the titles are:
    16 = J
    64 = K
    65 = L
    45 = M
    34 = N
    66 = O
    67 = P
    68 = Q

    However they are in fact not being displayed in this order. Omitting the categories that have no links yet, on the page I have them displayed as “M, P, J, N”. Am I missing something? Do I need to add another variable to the shortcode for sorting alphabetically?

    Thanks for your help.
    – Jenny

    Hi Jenny. In addition to specifying the list of category IDs in the way you want them to be displayed, you also need to set the results order for categories to be “Order of categories based on included category list”

    Hi Yannick, is that something I need to add through the shortcode or is it a setting in the “Library Configurations”? I can’t seem to find it …

    Oh, right. You have to do two things. First, under the Global Options section, you need to set the Category Selection Method to “Comma-Seperated ID List” and Save Settings

    Then, you can go to the Categories tab of Library Configurations and set the desired order:

    That worked perfectly, thank you! Now it doesn’t look like I don’t know the alphabet anymore ??

    Thanks for the quick response and glad it did the trick. Marked the issue as resolved. As mentioned before, if you end up using the plugin once your site is live, please consider donating to support its development. Cheers!
