Gutenberg font is black instead of white all of a sudden.

  • As of a couple days ago Gutenberg stopped working. My websites background is dark blue and the font is supposed to be white, when previewing a post or viewing the website everything appears normally. But in Gutenberg the font is black and impossible to work with.

    At the same time the font style has changed, and I can no longer edit button hyperlinks.

    Hi there!

    Has there been any updates to plugins or the theme? I’m guessing it also happens on different browsers as well?

    Are there any errors when you look in the browser’s console?

    Well, I’ve got about a plugin update per day. I’d have to check what was recently updated. However I don’t recall doing any updates just prior to this issue.

    I have not checked the console? anything specific to look out for? I’m not super experienced with console code.

    Will check this when I get home.

    It could be that a CSS file isn’t being loaded so you might see an error or even a JavaScript error since Gutenberg is very JavaScript focused.

    If a file isn’t being loaded it might show as a 404 on there. Most browsers will open up the Inspector tools and in there you can see the console. Most can be opened by pressing F12

    I restored an old backup from a week ago and gutenberg works just fine. Updating Gutenberg from 7.1.0 to 7.2.0 is what caused it. All other updates (4 total) did not affect Gutenberg.

    Any ideas on what to do about this?
