Thank you for your support of NGINX. Currently the most popular wordpress hosts like Flywheel and WPEngine lock down users from updating their config files. Although we can request changes to some of that, its challenging across many sites. Is there a way to add code to the functions file instead that will allow the plugin to work?

    Hi @digdug5,

Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, there is no other option.

The whole “magic” of the plugin is that the exchange of URLs is done by the server through .htaccess file or nginx configuration.

By doing this through PHP we lose the biggest advantages of the plugin.
