Featured Image functionality

    I have a custom post set up on my site.

    I have created a role with limited editing capabilities.

    When I edit the custom post with the Classic Editor, I am able to add and remove the Featured Image. When I edit the custom post with the Block Editor, I am unable to add and remove the Featured Image (it is not even in the sidebar).

    Any idea what is happening?
