Tag Taxonomie not included, but still gives errors in GSC

    Hey,

    In SEO-Press on my website I have set:
    SEOPress / XML/Html Sitemap / Taxonomies / Tags not included

    yet in Google search console it appears that Google is still crawling the tags. I have a huge amount of tag links showing-up in the error pages

    Specifically it says redirect error for tags I have deleted. This should not be a problem as tags are set not to be crawled.

    What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,

    XML sitemaps doesn’t prevent indexing/crawling of your content.

    You have to use the meta robots with the noindex value to manage this.

    Go to SEO, Titles and metas and browse each tabs to configure indexing.

    Save changes and clear your cache if necessary.
