• I have the WP125 plug in on my site, and now I’m trying to get it to show links from my linkshare account. if you go to my site you’ll see 4 generic ad blocks for 125×125 image ads.

    The linkshare ad links given to me are in code, but the WP125 asks for URLs of ads.

    Even though I deleted the first few and last characters from the code, seeing as it was reading like a URL, no luck.

    Just a beginner here, any help is greatly appreciated (as always!).

    Thanks!

  • For one, try:

    https://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=KrBG865nM70&bids=7097.10000085&subid=0&type=4&gridnum=4

    OK – that worked! And so did another one I did. But then a few others didn’t, and seemed to erase my blocks…..(see site)

    here is an example of a code I want to use.

    <a href="https://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=KrBG865nM70&offerid=177176.10000004&type=4&subid=0"><IMG alt="Naturepedic 125x125 static jpg" border="0" src="https://www.naturepedic.com/affiliates/images/naturepedic-125x125.jpg"></a><IMG border="0" width="1" height="1" src="https://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=KrBG865nM70&bids=177176.10000004&type=4&subid=0">

    which do I extract for Ad Image, and which is for Target URL? i tried by using the first href and the last src, but something is missing. same thing happens with another link code with more than one “src” info. in the code.

    many thanks!

    Anyone out there who can help me? Thanks so much…

    The target url should be:
    https://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=KrBG865nM70&offerid=177176.10000004&type=4&subid=0&#8221;

    Your image is:
    “IMG alt=”Naturepedic 125×125 static jpg” border=”0″ src=”https://www.naturepedic.com/affiliates/images/naturepedic-125×125.jpg&#8221;

    The other portion is a small 1×1 tracking pixel for linkshare. This may or may not be important to credit you with any sales. You might want to check with Linkshare about this….

    Another way would be to create a small table and insert it into a text box. This way you could use the full code and if that pixel is important finish up the tracking that Linkshare needs and/or wants.

    I hope this helps ??

    Sorry, I forgot to monitor this thread. Follow oimdiane’s advice, and check with linkshare, too. They should have a FAQ on placing ad code on sites.

    Thread starter,

    So were you able to find out if that other line of code for the pixel image is needed for proper tracking of sales through Linkshare?

    Hello – I gave up long before these responses and just got ride of that 125×125 block (or at least deactivated it). Thanks anyway – I just figured out an easier way to post the ads.
