Same domain, new server: blank slate

After backing up my old site and switching servers successfully, I copied all files as they were onto the new server. At wp-admin, I was greeted by a ‘new installation’ window, which I filled out. I now have a blank wordpress blog, despite all my content being there.

In the codex, it recommends

Note: If you are changing to a new server but same domain, all you need to do is edit wp-config.php and upload everything as it is to your new server.

However, I’ve lost access to all my content. Please help.
