    Hi Guys,

I have an older free credits-based Postmark plan. Today, on the Postmark website, I came across an urgent notice regarding blackout testing for SMTP users:

    https://postmarkapp.com/updates/security-upgrades-to-smtp-sending-action-may-be-required

I use the official Postmark for WordPress plugin on several sites and was wondering if there was anything I need to be concerned about. Also, I feel a bit dumb because I don’t know if use of this plugin makes me an “SMTP user” or not.

    Please advise. Thanks.

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

The Postmark for WordPress plugin does not use SMTP for sending email. It uses the Postmark API, so the impending change to what TLS versions are supported for SMTP sending will not affect you.

    Cheers!
