    Hello,

We noticed that there are five snippets that appeared in the snippets page editor, seemingly “by themselves”. These snippets were not created by an admin.

Does the plugin generate snippets automatically for:

“Order snippets by last modification date by default in the snippets table.”

    Thanks

  • I noticed the same in the plugin. Also would like to know if the plugin created the snippet.

When the plugin is freshly installed, it will create five default snippets:

    1. Example CSS snippet
    2. Example JavaScript snippet
    3. Example HTML snippet
    4. Order snippets by name
    5. Order snippets by date

Because the modified/date feature was new in version 2.14.0, the last one of these was also installed for sites upgrading to version 2.14.0.

I’ve received some dissatisfied feedback already on the plugin creating example snippets on upgrade, so it’s not something that we’ll be continuing with future releases.

Ok, the behavior I am referring to did not seem to occur during an upgrade. The plugin has been installed since Sept. 2019.

For some reason all five snippets were created on the same date and they were all the same. Basically five copies of the same thing.

We can just delete them I suppose?

    Thanks

Yes, feel free to delete. They’re only provided as examples.
