    Posting this again as the previous item https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/lightbox-gets-disabled/ was marked as resolved though the issue remains outstanding. My further comment remains unattended probably because the thread was marked as resolved. So here it goes –

    Hi Arno,

    While your observation about it working properly when exited by using escape key is correct, I am using the following to disable the native lightbox –

    .mfp-bg.mfp-fade.mfp-ready, .mfp-wrap.mfp-gallery{
    display:none !important;
    }

    But what is surprising that on the staging site

    https://donotgive.com/gallery/

    which is identical to the production site, this problem is not there and the lightbox reopens correctly irrespective of how you close it.

    Please have a look

    Sorry for the delay, I was just quite busy with other projects and didn’t notice your post. There is no need to open a new support thread – I also get notifications for new posts in “resolved” threads.

    At the moment I can’t see and problem on the production site. When I open a picture and close it with the ESC key I can reopen the lightbox again without any problem. Production and staging work exactly the same here. Maybe your browser or the CDN you use still had a cached version at the time you checked it.

    Please understand, that I can’t give you more free support for this, since this is not a problem of Lightbox with PhotoSwipe itself but the theme and other customizations you use. If you need further assistance, you can contact me via e-mail (see at https://arnowelzel.de/en/about-me) to arrange paid support for your specific site setup.
