• My site was attacked by a script that kept calling an image from my site and used up all my bandwith, i’ve since deleted the image off my server but now the image url goes to the wordpress 404 page and I wanted to know if there is anyway to have just a blank 404 page that takes up no bandwith as I don’t care about having a fancy looking 404 page.

  • There’s no such thing as a web page with zero bandwidth. If you know where this script is coming from, try banning that domain or IP using .htaccess.

How would I be able to set wordpress up to go to the server 404 instead of the 404 which is in my theme? I’ve contacted my hosting company and they said it would be best to have wordpress go to the server 404, but i’m not sure how if I delete the 404 page off my server then it just takes you to the index.
