301 Redirects for a wordpress.com site

Hi,

I’ve moved by website from a .wordpress.com site to a custom domain. As it’s WordPress.com I can’t install plugins to handle the 301 redirects for me, and the wp_redirect command doesn’t seem to work in the Gutenburg block editor, unless I’m missing what code tags to wrap things in.

What do I need to do to get wp_redirect to work for this type of site? I don’t want to have to pay to upgrade to a www.ads-software.com site simply to be able to install a redirect plugin.
