    Hi support team,

About 10 months ago I changed the domain of my website. At the same time I deleted the (old) Twitter username of the (only) author (me :-)). So in WP that field is empty now for about 10 months.

When I take a look at the HTML source code of my website however, it still contains the old and deleted twitter username and in both the fields: “twitter:site” and “twitter:creator”.

How can I remove the old content in the fields “twitter:site” and “twitter:creator”?

    Marco

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

If you clear your cache (server, plugin/theme, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider.

My website uses WP Fastest Cache Premium. I delete all cache on a regular basis. My website does not use a CDN. The issue exists for over 10 months now. Please advise. Thx!

    Hi,

We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v13? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. If you go to SEO-Social-Accounts can you confirm you have entered new data into the Twitter field?

3.If you go to SEO-Social-Twitter and disable it and then clear all your caching one more time AND then re-enable it does the right Twitter name appear?

I figured out what caused the issue.

In the past my website represented an organization instead of a person (setting Knowledge Graph & Schema.org). When I changed the setting back to ‘organization’ I was able to remove the old twitter name of that organization.

Then I changed the setting back to ‘person’.

Result: the old twitter name has disappeared from the source code of my website! ??
