• I’m converting my old blog posts (classic mode) to Gutenberg blocks. I’m using the AMP plugin and noticed something that might be a bug related to core/image block.

    There’re 5 image options: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and Reset.

When migrating to Gutenberg blocks the default option selected is “reset”.

    Check this images and captions:

Wrong amp-img width for core/image Gutenberg block

The image has a width of 1280 pixels, but on front-end it’s set to 600 pixels. I need to manually set the image option to 100% (and on the back-end it goes beyond Gutenberg’s editor container)

  • @artneo I’m happy to investigate further if you can provide me with some additional information, I’ve been unable to reproduce the issue from my side:
    – What WordPress theme do you have active?
    – Do you have any active image or optimisation plugins?
    – Have you tested on any other sites using the same images?

What WordPress theme do you have active?
    – My custom theme. Checked and it’s not any CSS conflict.

Do you have any active image or optimisation plugins?
    – Only AMP plugin activated.

Have you tested on any other sites using the same images?
    – No, but I don’t think it’s related to the images at all

Would you like any files or access to take a further look?

@artneo thanks for the info! Is there anyway we can get a copy of your theme and a list of your plugins (or Site Health info)? It might help us recreate the issue. Version 1.4.3 was released yesterday so it would be good to confirm if the issue still exists after the update too. Thanks!

    Hello Renee,

I’m afraid Version 1.4.3 didn’t solve this issue.

You may get a copy of the theme and posts to import here:
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mlA2Oqr12E75ajLuLB0EDzcggt5f699Z?usp=sharing

Test it by installing the theme and importing the posts. Then convert the classic mode to Gutenberg blocks.

@artneo Thanks for the update, please allow us some time to investigate, we’ll report back to you as soon as we have a chance to test.

@artneo I’ve tested your theme and it looks like you’ve created the theme itself to be an AMP theme, independent of the AMP plugin, along with adding multiple functions. As you can image we can only provide support for issues specific to the AMP plugin.

Can you check for the same issue using a default theme and I can try to replicate further?

I see, so maybe there might be a function inside my theme that’s making this conflict… I’ll check it. Thanks!
