Problem in reauthentication in Google Site Kit

    Actually there is a problem occurred with reauthentication.
    I remember first time when I logged in first time it successfully logged in. But cause a problem in my site log out then after new setup now it’s not log in. I tried different Gmail account. It work but I tried my older one again it’s still not login. And now second one is also not login. It mean there is issue when trying to reauthenticate.

    @mohittomar Thats for reporting. We have an open GitHub issue in relation to this issue, which we are currently investigating.

    Can you confirm that you’ve attempted setup from a new Chrome browser incognito window after resetting the plugin?

    @jamesosborne yes i tried that in different browsers and incognito mode but it’s still same.
    When only it’s not allowing reauthentication. But other things are working great.

    In the meantime can you inform me of your Site Health information and your hosting provider, which may help in identifying any common contributing factors.

    @mohittomar just following up on your topic. You mentioned that you attempted setup with a couple of Google Accounts and that you get the error when trying to use the first one. I’m not sure if you were attempting to use different accounts with different services (Analytics, Adsense) at the same time – this would cause some issues. You should only use one account in this case.

    In any case let’s try to do a fresh reinstall of the new version 1.3.1 to see if that helps resolve your issue. Could you try the following in an incognito browser:

    1) Reset Site Kit if you have access (Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Reset Site Kit)
    2) Delete and reinstall Site Kit
    3) Proceed with the setup process

    Please let us know if you’re able to get through.

    @reneesoffice same issue. No love in incognito. Just reloading same site kit page each time.

    Hello,
    i am experiencing the same problem too.

    I installed Site Kit and everything was set up and worked super fine.

    Half an hour later i decided to restore a complete site backup i had made only six hours ago, because a WPML(multi language plugin) had gone wrong with some error messages showing up.

    I then re-installed the Site Kit , try to activate, and it pauses at the checking compatibility screen.

    Please note that if i check the “Help us improve the Site Kit plugin ” check box i get a message saying “you are probably offline”

    Hello,
    i opened up a new support topic as your colleague suggested.
    My problem is now solved and to this i changed my WordPress Address (URL) from http to https i then upgraded to the latest Site Kit version and my problem was solved.
